Iris Berben

Star with Character and Commitment

For more than 50 years, Iris Berben has shaped German cinema as well as local television. Born in Detmold in 1950, she was one of the protagonists of Young German Cinema, later becoming a popular comedienne in comedy series such as "Zwei himmlische Töchter" and "Sketchup", and finally a television commissioner ("Rosa Roth") as well as a striking personality in multi-part series such as "The Buddenbrooks". Since 1965 she has appeared in more than 40 films.
